son of a bitch...

Is it possible that the start of my spring break could go from bad to worse? First my trip was cancelled as we're getting ready, and last night a bomb was dropped on everyone; Uncle Henry's being sent to Iraq!
I don't understand how he's being sent over; I thought he already got out? From what I understand, he'll be leaving soon and will miss Jay's graduation. They're not certain if he'll miss Josh's, but I'm pretty sure he will. He's going to over there for a while, unless Bush stops being an idiot and pulls out the troops. Here's the part that really gets all of us, Uncle Henry's in the reserves. Guess which section of the US's military is always on the front line? Marines and Reserves. Lovely.

wow

So it's been months, or what feels like months, since I've updated. I felt the need to post something in light of the new year.
I'm trying to enjoy my final two weeks of solitude. CJ and Keisha in the same house is not a good combination. She pissed me off during Christmas. I know I wasn't the only one, especially when Brent intervened. There's no pleasing that girl. She'll whine and cry until she gets her way. I don't feel like getting into it, since I've managed to get pass all of the frustration.
CJ needs to grow up. He's 14 years old, and still acts like he's three. He needs to be reminded when to do things, like getting a tissue to wipe his runny nose. He wipes them on his hands. He needs to be told when to wash his hands after he uses the bathroom, and when to brush his teeth. Oh gosh, when he burps, he blows the gasses from his mouth all over the place. Burping intentionally, especially in public, will not land you respect. Josh and I joke that he'll be a 40 year old virgin. It's been 2 days in a row that Josh's called me, and we've come to the conclusion that it may not be a joke after all.
Moving on, I've moved on from being Cinderella, to Betty Crocker, to Martha Stewart. I've taken up knitting, and I'm in the process of making a scarf for Zoe. It's coming along nicely. I still have to work on mine, seeing as how its been sitting idle for the past few days. I've also been watching "Pride and Prejudice" non stop. I think the guy who played Mr. Darcy is kind of cute, hahaha, but I do love the story.
Seeing as how I have two weeks left before I go back to school, I really need to check on my books. I don't feel like battling people in line to purchase my things. I just remembered that Isaac's band had two shows, one being a benefit show. As usual, I couldn't make it due to family gatherings. His band manages to schedule gigs during the days that I have family functions. Oh well, we'll have world ensemble and the Latin band. Those are the only shows that I won't miss.

This is Halloween, everybody SCREAM!!!

I'm still waiting for a call from "Tomsa." There has been a change of plans for the movie. We're still going to watch Nighmare... with Josh and Jay, but Jay has a game to go to, and apparently Tommy has practice. I asked if he can still hang out at 9:30 PM, since Jay's game ends at 9:00 PM. I'm sure his parents are pulling that "we'll see" bullshit again. The thing is that I'm not going to wait. Josh, Jay, and I have agreed that we're not going to wait for him, if he doesn't call me at a decent hour tomorrow.
Josh and I laughed about last year, when we were all supposed to hang out. Tommy cried, because he couldn't hang out. It was his fault, because he didn't do all of his homework before we came. Josh joked about me getting a phone call from Tommy. The only thing that'll be audible are sniffles.
I don't want to go to class tomorrow, but I have papers to turn in. BLAH!!! Too bad Sociology isn't my last class of the day. Oh well, it's getting fun in that class. Professor Starr brings up the most intersting topics to discuss in between lectures. Tomorrow is going to be a long day...
I have to remember to ask Josh about buying our tickets early, so that way our show time won't sell out.

C'mon dive! Dive, asshole, dive!

Today was round one of midterms. I was supposed to have two today, but the piano professor never showed up. It was another piano prof, and she was freakin loud! Seriously, no matter how high you turned up the volume on the keyboard, you could still hear her voice.
The sociology midterm was nothing. It was all multiple choice, and it was only 7 pages long. I had a hell of a time working on my drawing. The stupid cube doesn't want to cooperate, the fucker. I just have to adjust the left side by adding more black charcoal, and the damn thing is done.
I hung out with the World Music Ensemble for an hour after drawing. Melanie saw me, and asked if I was coming back. I said that I was just checking it out for today, so I'll let her know. If Dawn was there, she would've already thrown music in my face. I heard the reggae piece, and this spanish piece. I like both of them, so I think I'll come back. It was a lot of fun last year, anyways. I saw the board, and it looks like there's another Korean piece. Hoy...no doubt Melanie will ask me to sing it again. It's kind of hard since I'm not Korean, nor do I know how to speak Korean. Whatever...
I only have two more midterms to take, and then Nightmare on Friday! I can't wait!

well boo...

Dad says we're not going to Guam and the Philippines for Christmas anymore. It's understandable, since the plane tickets alone will add up to $6,000. He's trying to plan a trip for spring break. He brought up my 21st birthday, and is planning a Vegas trip. I've been there once, and I've had a bad experience. I was 2 years old, and I was screaming and fist fighting family members the whole time. It also involved tootsie pops. He says we should celebrate the big 2-1 "with a bang." Why do I have a feeling that I'll be playing the role of the designated driver again? He told the family when we went to Auntie Shirl's for dinner. We're waiting to see who else wants to join us. It'll be cool, because this time I'll be able to get in the casino area.

In a matter of hours, midterms will start. Normally I would be spazzing out and crying, but this time I'm calm. I've prepped myself for a week, and I don't think I could study anymore. I know the material, so I'm ready to kick some midterm ass. Plus I have The Nightmare before Christmas 3D to look forward to on the end of the week. YAY! I know Tommy, Josh, and possibly Jay want to go, so we're planning a Friday trip. The lucky bastards don't have school that day. We're trying to catch a matinee. I can't wait to see this.
